RICHARD RAINEY

Richard Rainey’s acrylic painted canvases, featuring his motif markings, take inspiration from folk art, still life painting and the British countryside.

As a self-taught artist, Rainey’s earliest output was predominantly on paper, hand-creating intricate collages inspired by Dadaism and Merz.

After producing and exhibiting an extensive body of work, his preferred medium switched to canvas, enabling him to work on a larger scale.

Richard Rainey is a British artist living and working in the North West of England.
